George’s County Police Department confirmed the
death of Cpl. Richard Scott Findley, a 10 year
veteran, who was assigned to the Patrol Services
District VI Special Assignment Team. Cpl. Findley
was struck and killed this morning while
attempting to stop two suspects in a suspected
