Doc’s Grille, a gourmet burger and hot dog
restaurant that was scheduled to open this week is
the latest in a series of new eateries that are
turning the Crystal Plaza shopping center in South
Laurel into a destination for high-quality
take-out. ‘‘It’s a place you can go
expecting to get an inexpensive but nice meal with
a variety of choices,” said Garold Stone who

New Caribbean cafe in Crystal Plaza

You walk in the door and immediately hear the
sounds of Caribbean music. Customers, some tapping
their feet, wait in line to place their orders at
a long counter filled with a variety of entrees
and vegetables. On the left, an ocean scene,
complete with palm trees and a bright
orange-and-yellow sunset takes up an entire wall.
