To put it simply vennt is about making it easier for people to talk about a wide range of subjects without having to search around the internet for a popular forum for each topic that interests them. If we're going to delve a little deeper then vennt is a metadata based discussion board system where your goals are at the centre of the system as opposed to you having to fit your interests in to strict categorical forums. In vennt all the threads have tags attached to them which describe the content, these can be broad or as specific as you desire because you are in control. For example a topic could contain the following tags 'Food, Restaurant, Italian, Manchester' and the content would be about Italian restaurants in Manchester thus people who listed 'Restaurants' and 'Manchester' as interests would see the topic in their list or users browsing any of those tags would be able to see the topic. The benefit of vennt over a traditional bulletin board is that it shapes around you rather than is shaped by its creator then filled by the users. vennt also strives to keep a lovely clean and simple interface so that discussion is the focus of the site with no distracting emoticons or massive signature graphics.
