just ran across this service. very interesting and fun. free if you're willing to put up with advertising. $36 if you are willing to pay to get rid of the ads.
When I first started learning about communities of practice, this was easily my favorite resource. I had lost track of it, but just stumble across a link to it while doing a bit of surfing.
What a great little service. You choose your frame and mattes, size it all out, include a digital image file and they send you a beautifully framed piece of art. Now how`s that for internet magic?
Just checked out Meebo. Seems pretty straight forward. And I like that it`s web based so I don`t have to be on a particular computer or in a particular software to run it.
this is current favorite web 2.0 application. Its has more value add than most of the applications out there. One, it helps you remember where you made comments on other blogs and it can bring your comments on other blogs back to your blog. After all, it is my content. Why shouldn`t it appear on my blog.
Oneof my personal favors amongst the LMS vendors. They have an awesome product, at a good price, and top it off by being nice people as well. If you`re in the market for a high end LMS, at an affordable price - check these folks out.
Questionmark is one of the leaders in learning online assessment tools. Everything from instant polls to fully proctored, certification testing. One of the best if you are looking to develop a comprehensive assessment program online.
I`ve never been able to get answer from these folks regarding whether they serve ads out through their tool or not. It looks like a good tool, but I haven`t been willing to try it until I know the answer to the ad question.
This is the standard bearer. Everytime I`ve been in a discussion about online survey tools it always seems to come down to Zoomerang and _______.<br />
if you are a student or a faculty member, this place is your best friend. You won`t believe some of the discounts they run! Great people in customer service too!
A great online store. Especially for photography and videography equipment for amateurs to the top pros. Their computer and peripherals sections are getting better.
Excellent data on large company spending on learning. The data is a bit old - the study was done in 2002, but it`s still helpful as general benchmarks and ratios of spending. This particular study has not been updated to my knowledge.
this now defunct blog was the class project at stockton college in new Jersey in the fall of 2003. Despite being idle for over two years now, it contains some great guidelines to what is good blogging. It`s an awesome example of how blogs can be used in the learning process.
Lawrence Lessig is one of my heros. He has lead the drive to rethink intellectual property to both meet the demands of the new world order and yet respect the creative work of the creators of new and innovative works.
This is the conference web site for the Innovations in e-Learning conference. The Defense Department, which is doing incredible things in the learning realm, is heavily represented.
This link is valuable not as much for the particular site it links to, but that it opens a gateway to the tremendous amount of information regarding learning, elearning and technology as a part of the European Union consolidation of services and governance. Make sure you have an hour or two to get lost in surfing the EU sites.
