You've decided to go back to college to get your degree - that's great, as more career opportunities will likely open up for you, as well as being able to earn more money.

However, to get that degree, you're going to have to spend some considerable money in order to be able to take the courses you need to take and complete.

First, you need to determine how much the courses and supplies you need to take the courses (such as your computer, Internet connection, printer, etc.) will cost, then you need to see how much of it you can afford to pay out-of-pocket. Obviously, the more you can pay yourself, the better, as you want to try to avoid taking out loans to pay for this as much as possible, since you will need to pay that money back or risk ruining your financial credit history. With other cost-of-living expenses you likely have in your life now, adding another one would only be as a last resort, not as a first option.

Check over your current expenses and see if there is anything you can cut back on and/or eliminate - perhaps eliminating cable channels or cable all together to reduce or eliminate your cable bill, eliminating call waiting to reduce your phone bill, not having your shirts and pants ironed as much to reduce your laundry costs, cutting back on utilities and electricity use to reduce those costs, etc. Any bill you can make less expensive or eliminate all together will give you more money to pay for college costs yourself.

If you are pursuing a higher degree in the same field you obtained your bachelor degree in, see if your employer will reimburse you for all or part of your tuition - after all, his/her company will benefit from your higher degree because of your upgraded skills and knowledge, so they would likely be willing to reimburse you to some extent.

While most scholarships and grants apply to high schoolers about to enter college for the first time, there is free money available for "non-traditional" students as well.

You should file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to see what federal aid you can attain to help pay for your education.

However, don't stop there; many colleges and universities offer institutional grants and scholarships, including for "non-traditional" students. Some states also offer grants. Also check with your local department of labour for vocational educational grants and opportunities. Finally, make sure you utilize the many free scholarship search engines on the Internet to see what other forms of aid you can apply for.

Even with these measures, it's possible you may still have to take out at least one loan to pay for your education. Graduate students can borrow up to $18,500/year on federal Stafford loans, which carry a relatively low interest rate of 6.8%. Plus, you normally have 10+ years to pay it off. For those who need extra cash, you can get it through the new Graduate Plus Loans, (which debuted in July 2006,) but the interest rates for these types of loans are higher than 6.8%.

If you can plan ahead, you can take advantage of some of the tax-sheltered savings vehicles that are available to younger students and their parents. Section 529 college-savings programs are one example. These allow for tax-deferred investment growth in mutual funds or other investments, with withdrawals being tax-free if they are used for college costs.

Another option is to open up a Roth IRA if you're currently working. Money reflecting your original contributions can be withdrawn tax-free at any time, while earnings can be withdrawn tax-free if the account has been held at least five years, along with certain other conditions being met.

Another option is to withdraw money from your traditional IRA - the withdrawals are taxable, but you can avoid the 10% penalty that normally applies if you use the money for college costs. Another source of funds can come from the Lifetime Learning Credit, a federal tax break that is worth up to $2000/year.

As you can see, there are many sources of cash you can use to fund your return to college. To find out about every resource you can use, you need to research online, as well as through the documentation the college's financial aid office sends you. This will obviously take time. That's why it is important to not just decide to go to college at the last minute and then try to frantically do research on what monetary resources there are so you can afford the cost.

Instead, plan ahead of time - if you plan on going back to college, do so in 6-12 months if at all possible, planning your budget, cutting back on unnecessary expenses, researching all the monetary resources available to you, and preparing to adjust to coursework again. If you do it in this fashion, it will be less stressful on you and your family and will enable you to perform better in your courses.

Bryan Wong
http://www.articlesbase.com/non-fiction-articles/how-to-finance-your-study-82989.html

You have heard the expression many times before – if you think college is expensive, you ought to see how expensive ignorance is. While there might be some wry humor in that expression, there should be no excuse for someone not going to college these days. There may be very valid reasons for not going to college, but a lack of financial funding should clearly not be one of those reasons.

College grants and college scholarships are abounding today, and in fact, many of the available grants and scholarships actually are not awarded every year, for the simple reason that nobody applied for them! As crazy as that sounds, it is true. Businesses and corporations use the college grant and college scholarships they offer as a tax writeoff, and if it is not awarded, then they lose out on that writeoff, so they are more anxious than ever to award these college grants and college scholarships.

One common myth which is held by many people is that you need to show a financial need before you will be awarded a college grant or college scholarship, or that you need to excel in a particular area, like the star quarterback in football, the ace basketball player who can shoot three-pointers all day long, the violin player or the piano player where it appears that Carnegie Hall is clearly in their very talented musical future, etc. But note that I said these are “myths”. In other words, these perceptions are incorrect.

Today, a college grant or college scholarship is available to virtually any student who has the motivation and the incentive to fill out the application forms. In fact, many students get multiple scholarships and grants, simply because they sat down and took the time to fill out the applications. These are students who do not excel in sports, in music, in drama, or any other area – they simply want to go to college, they understand the importance of having a college education in today’s very competitive real world, and they made the time to go through the steps required.

While there are both grants and scholarships available, grants are more likely to be awarded based on financial need, whereas scholarships are not nearly as closely tied to whether or not there is a financial need. But then again, when you look at the cost of a college education these days, after considering living expenses in a dorm or a campus apartment, meals, books and other very basic necessities, the cost of that college education is going to run well into five figures, perhaps even six figures, so a financial need is not going to be hard to justify for virtually anyone.

College grants and college scholarships differ greatly from the usual student loans like the FAFSA loan that is available through almost any college’s financial aid or admissions office. A student loan needs to be paid back. Although payments usually do not start until after the student has graduated and the interest rate is quite low, the fact that it needs to be paid back makes grants and scholarships a much more attractive option to pursue, since neither grants nor scholarships need to be paid back.

Take the time to search out the many resources available for a college grant or college scholarship. After graduation, it is much better for you if you start out by not being in a huge pile of debt, but can start clean with your new degree.

Jon Arnold
http://www.articlesbase.com/education-articles/how-to-find-free-college-grant-money-115613.html

Antonio Gates was born June 18, 1980 in Detroit Michigan. Ever since Gates was a young child it was obvious that he was going to be a great athlete in one sport or another. Standing at 6 foot 4 inches and weighing 260 pounds, he has all of the physical skills that a top notch NFL tight end could need. When you add this to the mental aspect of his game, it is no wonder why many people consider him to be the best tight end in the game.

Gates is a bit different than the rest of the players that you see in the NFL. Before his rookie season in the league, he had not played in an organized football game since high school. Gates decided that he wanted to go to Michigan State University to play both basketball and football, but when he was told by then Coach Nick Saban that he could only play football he decided to transfer. Subsequently, this led him to Eastern Michigan University then two junior colleges until he finally settled down at Kent State University in Ohio.

After his college basketball career was over, NBA scouts felt that at 6'4" he was not big enough to make it in the league. In turn, he began to focus his energy on getting ready for the NFL. Nearly 20 teams attended his workout, and the San Diego Chargers were so impressed that they signed him to a contract.

After a slow rookie season in 2004, Gates quickly became an offensive threat. Throughout the next three seasons combined he caught 241 passes for 2,989 yards and 32 touchdowns. This was good enough to land him in the Pro Bowl each of these three years, and also establish himself as a top offensive threat. For a guy that did not play college football, Gates is doing just fine in the NFL.

Bob Johnson
http://www.articlesbase.com/sports-and-fitness-articles/antonio-gates-2003-draft-day-picks-132076.html

If you are revising your living room’s guise or if you just moved in to a new pad, you should cogitate purchasing new side coffee tables. Dissimilar to most coffee tables that you place at the center of your living room surrounded by a couch and chairs, these tables are put at the side. Side coffee tables are great compared to those that are placed at the center because they are out of the way.

Fundamentally, an American football team is composed of two entirely different elements, the defensive team and the offense, which strives to score touchdowns by entering the opposing team's "end zone". This is worth 6 points that can be increased by after-scoring kick, which adds one point. An alternative way to score by kicking is by choosing to relinquish trying for a touch down and opting to kick a field goad, worth 3 points. The defensive team attempts to block scoring.

The game begins with an arbitrary coin toss, whereupon the winning team decides whether to go first or let his opponent have the first try at scoring. Why do this? Many teams like to get a look at the opposition's offense first. The team is then given a set of 4 "downs" or attempts to traverse 10 yards. Having successfully done this, they receive another set of downs and in this way they make it toward the opposing end zone. If the team falls to make the 10 yards it must turnover the ball to the opposing team, who will then start its journey from the exact position on the field. However, to put the opposing team at a disadvantage, the offensive team will usually choose to punt on the 3rd down to ensure that their opponents will start near to their own end zone. This technique is not without risk.

A player specialized in kicking enters the game and a designated player holds the ball. Equally specialized defensive players try to block it. A blocked kick is a free for all that can result in the opposing team getting both ball possession and an advantageous plying opposition. The opposition's kick receivers pose another danger since they are very fast sprinters who may be able to run the entire length of the field.

How des the offensive team use its downs to score? Offensive teams have a "game plan" prearranged by several coaches. The quarterback, the leader onfield may change this plan as he sees opportunities or weaknesses in the defense. Before play the offensive team "huddle" to formulate the next play. They then line up with the offensive line, knuckles down on the "line of scrimmage", nose to nose with a similarly lined up defense. They form a veritable wall to keep the quarterback safe. Behind this wall are 2 halfbacks and the safety who hands the ball to the quarterback behind him. This handout is known as the "snap" and sets play and both teams in motion.

Upon receiving the ball from the "snap" the quarterback must either hand off the ball to a running back or tight end, who run through the defenders. There are also ends, who run or catch passes or the QB may drop back and pass the ball to an end or a wide receiver, who flanks the line and is quick enough to run downfield and get in the open.

Each game proceeds with this alternation of ball possession for four 15 minute "quarters", which are extended indefinitely by team substitutions, time outs, incomplete passes, play reviews and other things which all stop the clock.

Stacey Day
http://www.articlesbase.com/internet-articles/the-basics-of-american-football-139455.html

As so often in Australia's history, Melbourne was founded through deception when explorer John Batman, an Australian who spoke in several aboriginal languages, made a "deal" with aborigines to lease land on behalf of investors.

While offering the Aborigines any compensation at all was progressive in a colonial culture that preferred to simply run them off the land, the fact that the native people had little understanding of rents, leases or indeed, the concept that land was something to be bought, sold and leased at all, made his arrangements no less exploitative. In return for a long term lease of 240,000 hectares of the finest grazing land in Australia, Batman gave the aborigines axes, salt, flour, blankets and jewelry. The total value of the goods is estimated to be around 200 pound.

Colonial rulers later declared his leases unlawful, claiming that the government, not the Aborigines, were the true owners of the land. After paying Batman compensation, they took over the territory and founded a settlement as the seat of regional government. The settlement became the city of Melbourne in 1837, named after Viscount Melbourne, the British prime minister at the time.

A sensible town plan

Melbourne s location was its strongest suit. While the "acquired" farmland was of excellent quality, the city's location on the banks of the Yarra River and well protected Port Phillip Bay contributed to its rapid commercial development. The influx of energetic immigrants and eager investors from England were factors in the economic growth of the young city.

Once the city had 5,000 residents, city planners intervened and imposed a strict grid plan to check chaotic growth in every direction. Melbourne's planners decreed that every main street would be exactly 30 metres wide, with perpendicular side streets one third that width. The strict grid plan has been in place ever since.

Melbourne became the capital of the new Victoria Colony in 1851. As luck would have it, miners in the outback came upon a rich seam of gold just four days later. Melbourne prospered like no other city on the continent, even after the gold rush waned.

A second boom was sparked by industrial development and immigration after World War II. Melbourne's population more than tripled, and the plains around the Yarra River gradually grew crowded as 3 million people from 140 nations arrived to claim their piece of the Australian dream.

City planners again stepped in, authorising the construction and development of suburbs and satellite towns. In the downtown commercial districts, Melbourne began building upward and large office buildings appeared on the horizon.

A rather unassuming city, Melbourne's grand sights are few in comparison to trendy Sydney. Of course, there is still a great deal to see, including the Melbourne Museum, the State Parliament, the royal exhibition buildings, the Stock Market, majestic St. Patrick s Cathedral and Flinders Street Station. Freshwater Place is a luxury residential complex, with a striking, elegant design that makes it Australia's thinnest building as well as one of its tallest.

Melbourne is well known for book shops, live shows and the arts. Many northerners desperate for culture travel south to Melbourne for their arts fix. Melbourne hosts a world class writers festival and comedy festival.

Melbourne is also renowned for sports. The annual Melbourne Formula 1 Grand Prix held at the Albert Park Circuit is famous around the world, but there are many more sporting highlights to enjoy.

The professional tennis season starts here with the Australian Open, drawing the best players in the world to compete in the first of four major tournaments. Local sports attract an even greater following.

When the Magpies, Bombers and Kangaroos take the field, life is frozen in time. Melbourne's football players have always been their sports heroes, but cricket and rugby are also popular. The Grand Final of the Australian Football League (AFL) takes place each year at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. One of the eight Melbourne teams usually participates.

Ignatius Randall
http://www.articlesbase.com/travel-articles/unassuming-melbourne-australian-football-heartland-of-australia-714602.html

Buy, Watch or Pass

Every week, I will examine some of the more obscure top performers in Fantasy Football. Here are the names I came across in Week 9:

QB's

Jake Plummer, Denver Broncos 227 pass yds, 3 TD's

While Jake Plummer isn't really an obscure name, he more than likely is available in a good majority of leagues due to his poor start of this season. Before his game on Week 8, it was reported that if Plummer struggled the next 2 weeks, then he would be benched in favor of rookie first round pick Jay Cutler. Apparently that was all the motivation Plummer needed, as he was much improved for the second straight week against a tough Steelers defense. Is it time to jump on the bandwagon? I'm going to say not yet. The schedule isn't in his favor, so I need to see more before I decide. He has some nice matchups come fantasy playoff time, so let's see how he does the next couple weeks to make sure he has returned to form. WATCH

David Garrard, Jacksonville Jaguars 177 pass yds, 3 TD's

Byron Leftwich may be done as Jacksonville's starting QB this year, and maybe even forever. And I quote from head coach Jack Del Rio, "A healthy guy that's playing well is a no-brainer for me. His (Leftwich) ankle is 85 to 90 percent and it's probably not going to get much better than that until he gets a long period of time off." It certainly sounds to me like David Garrard is now the man and he has without doubt played well enough to earn it. He threw for 177 yards & 3 touchdowns against Tennessee on Sunday and has a 102.9 passer rating on the year. While it has only been 2 games, he has a weak schedule against secondaries & the tools on offense to become a top fantasy QB the rest of the way. If you own Byron Leftwich, pick up Garrard immediately. BUY if you own Byron Leftwich, WATCH for everyone else.

Tony Romo, Dallas Cowboys 284 pass yds, 2 TD's

I've talked a lot about Tony Romo in my past articles, yet, I look around and he is still available in a lot of leagues. He continued to shine on Sunday against the Redskins by completing 66% of his passes for 284 yards, 2 touchdowns and no interceptions. He now has a very nice 93.7 passer rating. He has nothing but weak to average secondaries the rest of the way. With the weapons he has, he will be an elite QB from here on out. What are you waiting for!? BUY

Damon Huard, Kansas City Chiefs 148 pass yds, 3 TD's

Trent Green is nearing his return, but Damon Huard is continuing to put up solid numbers in his stead. With Larry Johnson running all over St. Louis on Sunday, Huard just needed to manage game, which is what he did. He threw only 15 passes, completed 10 for 148 yards & 3 TD's. Since coming in for Green, Huard has posted a robust 105.2 passer rating and has the Chiefs in the thick of the playoff hunt. There are many people who question whether or not Green should return as the starter, but head coach Herm Edwards says most likely Green will be back Week 11 against Oakland. There is one more team on the Chiefs schedule that has a mediocre secondary, and that's next week against Miami. If you need a fill in QB for next week, Huard makes an excellent choice. The secondaries get rough after that, so even if Huard stays as the starter, his value may decrease in a hurry. Keep your eye on him though, 105.2 passer ratings don't grow on trees. BUY for this week's matchup, everyone else should continue to WATCH

RB's

Anthony Thomas, Buffalo Bills 95 rush yds, 1 TD

Willis McGahee went down on Sunday with a broken rib and Anthony Thomas came in and played very well. So you would think Thomas would get the start next week, but its possible McGahee could be back and starting. I have a hard time believing that he'll be back that quickly, but you never know. In any case, Thomas goes up against a very weak rushing defense in Indianapolis, so he could have some good value. It should be noted that Buffalo could be so far behind before half time that he may not have many chances to run, so you'll need to take that into consideration. Buffalo has 4 opponents remaining with weak rushing defenses; next week against Indy, Week 11 against Houston, Week 14 against the New York Jets & Week 16 against Tennessee. If Buffalo decides to shut down McGahee at some point this season, Thomas could be a nice asset to have. BUY if you are a McGahee owner, for everyone else, WATCH

Maurice Morris, Seattle Seahawks 138 rush yds

It took awhile, but Maurice Morris finally had his first good game as a starter on Monday night. He rushed for 138 yards on 30 carries against the pitiful Oakland Raiders. If you did own Morris, I'd hope the only reason was because you also own Shaun Alexander, who will be back next week against St. Louis. Even if Alexander re-injures himself, Morris is a mediocre backup at best. The usefulness of Morris has reached its end. PASS

WR's

Devery Henderson, New Orleans Saints 111 rec yds, 2 TD's

With Joe Horn out with a groin injury, Devery Henderson stepped in and played well. He hauled in 3 catches for 111 yards & 2 touchdowns. While he could have been a nice pickup if Horn was out for an extended period of time, that is not the case, as Horn is expected to come back next week. Drew Brees is throwing the ball around nicely in New Orleans, but you can't be a beneficiary if you aren't starting full time. PASS

Ernest Wilford, Jacksonville Jaguars 44 rec yds, 2 TD's

Ernest Wilford began the season as a sleeper, but didn't end up doing much until Sunday. Even with those 2 touchdowns, he only had 3 receptions. Wilford is a big body that is useful in goal line situations, but hasn't shown much else besides that. With Garrard now throwing the ball Wilford may become useful down the stretch, but until more develops, he's too much of a risk to start. WATCH

Braylon Edwards, Cleveland Browns 61 rec yds, 1 TD

After 4 weeks into the season, Braylon Edwards had 324 yards on 20 catches & 1 TD. Most of us thought he was on his way to becoming a star, but has been anything but that since then. During his next three games, Edwards had 54 yards on 7 catches & zero touchdowns. Well, Mr. Edwards has finally shown up again, hauling in 6 catches for 61 yards and a touchdown on Sunday. While I can't say he's back, it was nice to see he still knows how to play football. I can't entirely blame him, with a mediocre offensive line & young quarterback; a lot of offensive players have struggled in Cleveland this year. His schedule the rest of the way isn't all that bad, so he might be a surprise player down the stretch if Cleveland's offense has figured things out again. Keep an eye out for him if he's available. WATCH

Do you have questions regarding your Fantasy Team? Send them to Alex The Great at http://sports.enterto.com/ask_alex.html.

By far the most popular sport worldwide is football. Every year, millions of fans come together to experience the exciting moments offered by football players in venues around the globe. Being a team sport, football not only exercises the human body and mind, but also brings people together to produce measurable results. With famous players from every country, like the Brazilians Pelé and Zico, or the Hungarian Puskás, football-which is usually referred to as Association football in order to distinguish it from rugby football-has literally been worshiped mainly by male fans.

At least once, every boy in almost every neighborhood has been invited to participate in a friendly match of football -also known as "soccer." Promoted by international competitions like the Olympic Games and the FIFA World Cup, both held every four years, football has become the main subject of several discussions held among men and a cause of tremendous joy or misery. Watching a great goal or loosing a game can be the subjects of debate or celebration amongst football fans, sports writers and athletes alike. But, most importantly, football unites and excites people of all ages everywhere in the world regardless of their religion, their culture, or their political and ethnical backgrounds.

Yet, the word "football" is used in reference to two different, but related, team sports. Whilst in most English-speaking countries the word "football" usually refers to Association football (soccer being a slang abbreviation of the word "Association") in the countries of Canada, Samoa and the United States football is used to refer to the game of rugby-also referred to as North American football and Gaelic football. Although most consider that the word "football" refers to an action performed by a foot -like kicking a ball-there are some who accept another explanation and justify the use of hands in a rugby game. Specifically, during the Middle Ages, games played by peasants and involved a ball, which they did not necessarily kick, were described with the name "football"-games played on foot-as opposed to horse-riding, for instance, with was a sports game played mainly by aristocrats. Under this notion, with the word "football" one may describe any game played on foot.

But no matter if football was played primarily with the upper or lower body and regardless if it should or should not involve the use of hands, the fact still remains that it is the biggest success in sports history. In fact, football is one of the few sports in existence today that can exhilarate sports fans in such a degree and give to everyone owning a round shaped ball the opportunity to become a champion for at least a day.

Jonathon Hardcastle
http://www.articlesbase.com/business-articles/briefly-examining-the-football-controversy-67091.html

An all-time greatest family pastime is undoubtedly the NFL football. Just about every person, men, women and kids alike, Sundays and Monday nights take on a whole different meaning during football season. Friends and families lounge together in the living room, at times switching between several games. In addition, both local pubs and sports bars are filled jam-packed with cheering and jeering fans, and for those who are able to watch live, simply flock to the stadium to cheer their favorite team.

Likewise the many things we enjoy and identify with, perhaps favorites bands or much-loved sports teams, are all part of our identities. As such, there is an enormous market for items of clothing that sport the names and colors of our favorite teams and players. Nowadays every dedicated fan can find everything from hats sweatpants, socks, tee-shirts and undergarments touting their NFL favorites. But without doubt, perhaps the most popular item of clothing for the football fan is the authentic football jersey. You will find jerseys in both styles - authentic and replica.

So, do you know the difference between an authentic football jersey and a replica? In general, both versions will be embroidered with the player's name. However the authentic ones have a mesh body as well as mesh sleeves, while replica jerseys have both bodies and sleeves made of nylon mesh.

Another distinctive feature is that an authentic football jersey will also have an official NFL equipment logo. Though replica jerseys have at times a somewhat similar look and feel of an authentic football jersey, these subtle differences makes them more affordable. Sometimes, an authentic football jersey may include an autograph, or if you choose to order rather than buy one from a sporting goods store then it may come with a photo or with any sort of a collectible.

Wearing one of these football jerseys would symbolize a hard core fan at one point of time. And despite the fact that loyal football fans will always be the biggest market for these and other football sportswear items and collectibles, interest in jerseys has been divided over the years. In fact the authentic football jersey is an item of fashion and style to many, in particular among the youth. Casual fans are now more likely to purchase authentic jerseys. Even though the market for the authentic football jersey has increased, fans at times have to wait for orders to be filled.

Besides football, there are sport jerseys like hockey and basketball that are regularly seen being worn by fans; however the authentic football jersey is still perhaps the most popular sports-related article of clothing. For sure, there's something about watching a nail-biter of a game while at the same time sporting a jersey with the name of your favorite player emblazoned across your back that makes you feel like part of the action. Besides football jerseys are just about as much a sign of the change of seasons as late summer dips in temperature and the first falling leaves of autumn.

Mike F.

Although you will enjoy the experience tremendously, going to college will cost you at least an arm and possibly a leg. If you accept the fact early on that you need extra funds to pay for this investment, then you’ll be motivated to start looking for financial assistance opportunities.

Here are the five best ways to pay for college.

1. Scholarships
Scholarships are a prospective college student’s primary aid objective. Apply for as many scholarships as you can, because if you just get one, you’ll end up saving thousands of dollars on your college costs. Scholarships don’t have to be paid back. You may have to fulfill certain requirements, but you aren’t going to make any repayments on your scholarship awards. Scholarships can be need or performance-based. There are scholarships out there that cater to every single imaginable identity, from football players to cancer survivors to Mormons. Put in the time to find scholarships that you are eligible for, and apply for as many as possible.

2. Grants
Grants are the next best thing to a scholarship. Grants do not need to be repaid. You can receive thousands of grant dollars from your university as well as local, state and federal governments. Make sure that you have filled out all the grant applications you qualify for. Get your FAFSA turned in early every year. The more free money you get, the less you have to pay back. So get on the ball and start looking for grants.

3. Loans
Loans are not as appealing as scholarships and grants, but they can come in very handy. If you get a student loan, you need to understand what you are getting yourself into. Subsidized loans are awarded based on financial need. They do not accrue interest while you are in school. Unsubsidized loans are not need based. When you take out an unsubsidized loan, you will accrue interest while you are in school. Be sure that you go to your loan exit review, so that you understand the terms of your repayment obligations once you graduate.

4. Work
Get a job. Pay as you go. Invest as you invest. If you have money coming in, you’ll be more secure during and after your college experience.

5. Family
You can always hit up your family members for money. Be honest with each other. Know what to expect and what’s expected. Have all the facts out on the table so that you can plan accordingly.

If you prepare for the financial impact of college, you’ll be in a better position once you graduate. Don’t assume anything. Get the answers to your financial questions ahead of time, and remember to apply for aid at least one year before you actually need it.

Chris Stout
http://www.articlesbase.com/college-and-university-articles/five-best-ways-to-pay-for-college-84710.html
