Wordpress I used originally only only as a blogging tool, but I learned that it was indeed quite a powerful content management system (CMS). This especially became true in version 2.0 as additions were made that made it more conducive to the average user (such as integrating TinyMCE). The following steps are the introductory steps I use in setting up websites using Wordpress. In fact, for me web design is no longer done apart from Wordpress; for me Wordpress = Web Design. I am assuming a general knowledge of installing Wordpress, but if you need help in this you can consult the Codex.
Wordpress contains almost all the features you need to get it going as a CMS out of the box. However, you’ll find that there are a few things missing that make up the final pieces of the puzzle. Candid styles of photography are increasingly becoming popular both in general day to day photography but also in formal photographic situations. Last time I was asked to photograph a wedding the couple actually hired me purely to take paparazzi style shows of them and their guests throughout the day. They had another photographer for the formal shots and gave me the brief of getting a behind the scenes look of the day.

When the original Suckerfish HoverLightbox was published, I was honestly surprised at the amount of attention it received. I was a fan of the technique, and I was also really glad that many people took the time to read the entire article instead of just playing with the demo and move on. One thing I was disappointed in, however, was the lack of attention to detail on my part in the demo and examples provided. Most of my time was put into testing the technique and determining if it was useful. I have been meaning to revisit the technique and take another look at it, and recently I was able to do so.

CleanCSS is a powerful CSS optimizer and formatter. Basically, it takes your CSS code and makes it cleaner and more concise. The CSS optimizer was originally developed by some awesome dudes over at CSS Tidy. They built the program and have made it free for everyone to use. I stumbled across their optimizer one day while looking for help with my CSS. I wanted to know the shortest way I could style a background of a web site without having to use all the "background-image" and "background-repeat" tags. I found some other optimizers which I tried, but none worked as well as CSS Tidy. It was actually hosted on some random CD Burning website. Why? I have no idea. But after I posted about it on my blog, I noticed that a week later, the site no longer existed. I was bummed because I was trying to show my fellow designers at work this amazing utility. So I took the liberty and installed CSS Tidy on my own webserver and registerd cleancss.com. I also styled it up to my liking (see the grass green colors?). So now I can make sure this kick-ass CSS utility stays up forever. And gets used by web designers everywhere.

Lately, such navbars are everywhere, as many people believe they’ll make their site more Web 2.0-compatible. Personally, I just think they’re semantically better and accessible.

Simply search for the the product, or type of product, you're looking for, and Jungle Crazy brings up a list of 'em that are 70% off or greater. While the ability to do this is nothing new, the results are arranged more attractively and don't involve any URL hacking. There's two drawbacks. One is that searches have to be over three letters, so no Wii (try Nintendo Wii) and the search engine is a buggy. A search for "cars" had a set of mono-color towels among its findings.
