I do miss the times in AIESEC, especially times when I was part of the OC or/and FACI.Sleepless nights, keeping the motivation high 24/7, the energy, the effort, the teamwork, the stress, and the outcome – a smiling heart… amazing…For the benefits of the non-cult-clan *grin* ;AIESEC is a non-profit [not entirely true] international [definitely international – over 90 countries and still counting] student run [but seems that even the graduates are still involved] NGO [there’s really no such thing as NGO as politic is always part of life] which facilitates eXchange [Go! Go! Go! Exchange!] where we bring in expertise from abroad and send our youth abroad with the focus of youth development [that includes me too – I’m still very much youthful!].Graduated from AIESEC… [and you think we graduated from Universiti Malaya – our AIESEC experience is definitely much more valuable than that piece of degree paper!]FACI simply means Facilitators. In Malaysia it’s commonly pronounced as “FEH-SI”, in Thailand it is pronounced as “FAH-SI” while in Singapore it is called as “FEH-SIL” instead.[This is one of my best experiences, being part of the International Facilitator team together with top notch AIESEC national leaders from Thailand, Sri Lanka, Australia and Malaysia.]OC stands for ORGANIZING COMMITTEE. We all know this is no glamour role – it’s always the “kuli” role. But hey, when there’s dirt, there’s fun! [Like I said, when there’s dirt, there’s fun!
