Ajax/Javascript Library - DHTMLGoodies If you want
to spruce up your vanilla webapp or site but
don’t want the bother of adopting a full
framework, you may want to look at the
Javascript/AJAX library site DHTMLGoodies. What do
they have? * A folder tree with drang-n-drop *
Several image slideshows * Ajax tooltip widgets *
An Ajax blindfold chess trainer * Automatic left

Agile Ajax: Application Watch - Google Writely Relaunches
http://blogs.pathf.com/agileajax/2006/08/g...
Application Watch - Google Writely Relaunches
Writely has relaunched as a google property,
though it doesn’t have google single
sign-in. It also doesn’t look like
it’s been given the GWT treatment under the
hood. Still, lots of features, collaboration,
saving to word, PDF, etc. Publishing to blog.
I’m still more likely to use Visio
replacements, however.

Ajax Challenges and Other Frameworks Q: What do
you see as the biggest challenge to Ajax and its

releasing IE 7 through windows update in a
meaningful way, but unless we get a commitment
from M…

UXD - User eXperience Design: Yahoo UI components
http://blogs.pathf.com/uxd/2006/07/the_fol...
Yahoo UI components As part of an effort to ride
the Web 2.0 wave, the folks at Yahoo have created
a library of rich User Interface components using
javascript, and has made them available free of
charge here. The components are built to
incorporate techniques such as DOM scripting,
DHTML AJAX, and RSS. The library consists of 2
sets of ‘widgets’ if you will;
Utilities, which are used to simplify development,
and Controls, which are visual objects that
enhance interactivity. T…

Agile Ajax: Echo2 vs GWT
http://blogs.pathf.com/agileajax/2006/07/e...
Echo2 vs GWT Back on June 6th I made a note of
this post by Echo2 creator Tod Liebeck at The
Server Side, entitled Comparing the Google Web
Toolkit to Echo2, but never got around to blogging
about it. Tod gives a fairly succinct description
of both GWT and Echo2: GWT’s defining
attribute is the Java-to-JavaScript compiler. This
compiler allows you to develop the web interface
to your application in Java, then compile it to
JavaScript. GWT limits the developer to a subset
of the Java…
