Carlos Fuentes, Writer, Washington DC, 75 -8, originally uploaded by Marcelo Montecino.
Checking out this blog-from-Flickr feature...I really like this photo. It's of my favorite autor, the prolific Mexican essayist, writer of great fiction, historian, diplomat, screen writer, protagonist of 'el boom latinoamericano', and man of the int'l jet set, Carlos Fuentes. I think he was born in 1928 so he's pushing 80 now...shouldn't be too long before he takes away the Nobel Prize for Literature. He is the living person that I would most like to meet. Hopefully one of these days I can catch a lecture of his somewhere.
