I’ll be traveling to Taiwan in 5 days. Yay! AIESEC Taiwan in cooperation with "Global-TIC" which is a brand for Global Talententrepreneurship, Innovation and Collaboration Development have initiated a Global-TIC Organizer Empowering Workshop that is taking place on 23-31 August in Taipei with the objective to create an opportunity to enable & empower more people become pioneer of Talentrepreneurship development in both country & regional level. Will be interesting to learn about entrepreneurship and business in this part of the world. The only reason why I was able to apply for it is that they are financing everything, the accommodation as well as the flight:)Taiwan is situated in the southern coast of China and the land area is about 36,000 square km, so smaller than Estonia, but Taiwan has a population of 22 million, so about 15 times more people squeezed together on a small piece of land.I won’t have too much time to travel around in Taipei unfortunately as I’ll have about half a day before the conference starts and some free evenings, but I do hope to visit the National Palace Museum as I’ve heard it is one of the best and they have an extraordinary collection of Chinese heritage since 10th century. Taipei also has the world's tallest building the Taipei International Financial Centre 101 which has 101 storeys and is 508m tall. Taipei 101 may hold the world's tallest building title now, but not for long! There's a space race on, and in 2008 a new building in Dubai is slated to open at a height of about 610m. Even if that is not realised, the Freedom Tower on the site of New York's World Trade Centre is due to open in 2009, at 541m.
